Day 1 Sep 13 SASKATCHEWAN – WINNIPEG MB, lose one hour at SK/MB border. Join our tour along the route today starting in Prince Albert BW+ Marquis Rd, Saskatoon Motel 6 Marquis Drive, Regina North Gate Mall, Moosomin Red Barn, Brandon coffee stop and Winnipeg. 

Day 2 Sep 14 WINNIPEG – THUNDER BAY ON B D, lose one hour around Ignace. Watch for “Huskie the Muskie”. Travel through Kenora, Dryden and Ignace. Admire the 40-metre high Kakabeka Falls, the second highest waterfall in Ontario and has some of the oldest fossils in existence. Enjoy a light welcome dinner near Kakabeka Falls before settling into hotel in Thunder Bay. 

Day 3 Sep 15 THUNDER BAY – SAULT SAINT MARIE ON B. Visit the Terry Fox Memorial and Lookout, it offers a panoramic view of Thunder Bay and Lake Superior. Lunch stop in White River, find a treasure at the Agawa Crafts Trading Post this afternoon. 

Day 4 Sep 16 SAULT SAINT MARIE – OTTAWA ON B. Enjoy the view as you drive through some of the oldest French settlements in North America, along Lake Huron, with stops in Blind River, Sudbury – the home of the Giant Nickel and into Ottawa for two nights, close to the By-Ward Market. 

Day 5 Sep 17 OTTAWA B. Step On Guides will show you around Ottawa, beginning with Parliament Buildings, followed by Rideau Canal, Prime Minister home and stop for lunch at the By-Ward Market, an outdoor farmers’ market with stalls and specialty food shops selling just about everything. Visit the RCMP Stables and finish the day at the Royal Canadian Mint, a 1908 Castle-like headquarters with the world’s biggest coin and gold bars on display. 

Day 6 Sep 18 OTTAWA – MONTREAL QC – QUEBEC CITY QC B. Meet the Step On Guides who will show you the best of Montreal. Some of the highlights will be Ste-Catherine Street, St-Helen Island, Mont-Royal and The Old Place just to name a few. The most scenic route from Montreal to Quebec City is along the north Shore of the St Lawrence River on Route 138 also known as Chemin du Roy. It takes you through charming villages, picturesque countryside, and beautiful views of the river. Arrive in Quebec City for 2 nights. 

Day 7 Sep 19 QUEBEC CITY QC B L. Spend the morning with the Step On Guides for highlights in Quebec City, Plains of Abraham, Cape Diamond, Place Royal, Old Quebec and so much more. Your tour will end with an authentic French Canadian meal with music and a taste of Maple Taffy.  Spend some time on own in Old Quebec this afternoon and this evening. Sample more French Canadian cuisine or just rest, relax and recoup. 

Day 8 Sep 20 QUEBEC CITY - FREDERICTON NB B. Lose one hour crossing into New Brunswick. Visit the most prestigious museum of woodcarvings in north America. Bid farewell to Quebec. New Brunswick lies entirely within the Appalachian Mountain range. Witness Grand Falls spectacular gorge with its breathtaking views, take the opportunity to walk across the Hartland Bridge, which is the world’s longest covered bridge. Overnight in Fredericton. 

Day 9 Sep 21 FREDERICTON – HOPEWELL ROCKS NB B L. Target Tours Guide will show you highlights of Fredericton. See the Mactaquac Dam, opened in 1968, is an embankment dam used to generate hydroelectricity with the waters of the Saint John River and generates electricity from 6 turbines; and represents 20 percent of New Brunswick's power demand. Tour King’s Landing, the living history village museum with original buildings from the period of 1820 – 1920 nestled in a majestic setting. Followed by a King’s Landing hearty lunch. Then you are off to Moncton to witness the illusion of vehicles rolling up hill at Magnetic Hill. Stroll the Wharf Village with it’s unique shopping, and tasty treats. Stop at the RCMP Memorial before going to Hopewell Rocks for overnight. Be sure to get a glimpse of the tide level when you arrive tonight. Tomorrow you can sleep in a little longer. 

Day 10 Sept 22 HOPEWELL ROCKS – CHARLOTTETOWN PE B L. Hopewell Rocks, has the highest tides in the world. When the tide is low, you will have the opportunity to walk the ocean floor. Watch the tide come in while having coffee before heading to Shediac, “Lobster Capital of the World”. A quick photo op with the “giant lobster” before your Bay Cruise and Lobstick lunch (other choices offered) They show you how to fish, haul, crack and eat your lobster catch. Stop at the Confederation Bridge Lookout to see the world’s longest bridge crossing the water that spans 12.9km, connecting Prince Edward Island to New Brunswick. Next two nights you are in Charlottetown. 

Day 11 Sep 23 CHARLOTTETOWN B. Target Tours guide takes you to sights on Prince Edward Island. Tour includes North Rustico Harbour fishing village, Anne of Green Gables house, the Bluffs, Stanley Bridge and Founder’s Hall. Free evening on your own. 

Day 12 Sep 24 CHARLOTTETOWN – HALIFAX NS B. Stop in Springhill for a visit to the little Anne Murray Center. She was the first Canadian female solo singer to reach #1 on the US Charts and 1st to earn a gold record. Travel through Truro and Stewiake. In Halifax, tour The Citadel, a fortified summit restored to the Victoria period, and Pier 21 Museum of Immigration. Discover the history of immigration in Canada before, during, and after Pier 21 was active. Heritage Interpreters walk you through 400 years of history. If you are curious about a particular ship or you want to know more about War Brides, let your guide know. Halifax is your home for 3 nights. 

Day 13 Sep 25 HALIFAX NS B. Target Tours guide takes you to the lighthouse route to Peggy’s Cove, an active fishing village and home of the Peggy’s Point Lighthouse. Witness the power of the sea, immerse yourself in the natural landscape, and experience the sights and sounds of the village and the Peggy’s Cove Preservation Area. Visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Lunenburg, the authentic 19th century fishing village, to Mahone Bay, to see one of the most iconic views, of the Three Churches.

Day 14 Sep 26 HALIFAX NS B. Free Day For All. Sight see on your own. Rest, relax, recharge, your choice. OR go aboard the CSS Arcadia and explore the more than 100-year old ship’s bridge, chart room and officer’s quarters. OR ride the Alderney or Woodside Ferries to Dartmouth and Woodside Wharf. OR go to a favorite stop along the boardwalk at the Seaport Farmer’s Market. You’ll find fruits and vegetables to baked goods, wines, craft beers, homemade soaps and jewelry. Before you leave Halifax have a seat at one of the several seafood restaurants and enjoy the day’s fresh catch while gazing out at the open waters!

Day 15 Sep 27 HALIFAX – NORTH SYDNEY NS B. Before leaving Halifax, make a few quick stops. One: the location of the SS Mont Blanc’s anchor shaft, weighing over 1100 pounds flew clear over the city from the Halifax Explosion. Two: the cemetery for many victims aboard the Titanic. Their graves arranged in a curve, reminiscent of a ship’s hull. In New Glasgow you will stop at ‘Their Light Shall Always Shine’ Memorial Park. A serene and sacred space in honor of the miners who tragically lost their lives in the Westray Mine Disaster with a beautiful sculpture known as the ‘Monument of Life’.  This afternoon, enjoy the shores of Bras d’ Or Lake to Baddeck and tour the Alexander Graham Bell Museum, learn more about Alex the inventor, scientist and engineer. Overnight the next two nights in North Sydney. Your hotel is overlooking the harbour and Marine Atlantic Terminal, and is a 5-minute stroll from Indian Beach, named after the first Nations people who used to habit the area.

Day 16 Sep 28 NORTH SYDNEY – CABOT TRAIL NS B L. Meet your Target Tours guide on route to the Cabot Trail. The guide will show you highlights of the scenic roadway passing through Cape Breton Highlands National Park. You will follow the rugged coastline providing spectacular views of the ocean. Enjoy your mountain view lunch along the way. Return to North Sydney for the evening and relax with a drink on the deck. 

Day 17 Sep 29 NORTH SYDNEY – PORT AUX BASQUES NF B, lose ½ hr while crossing the Channel between Gulf of St Lawrence and North Atlantic Ocean. Board the Marine Atlantic Ferry and sail to Newfoundland. (approximately 6-hour sail) Newfoundland is one of the best-kept vacation secrets, nestled into the northeast corner of North America. The province offers a leisurely “Old World” pace and is one of the most romantic places in Canada. 

Day 18 Sep 30 PORT AUX BASQUES – DEER LAKE NF B. Travel to Corner Brook to Captain James Cook Historical Site, for an impressive view of the city, mountain, cave and Bay of Islands explored by Captain Cook.  Venture to the Discovery Center at Bonne Bay, Gros Morne National Park. You will learn geology to plants, moose to caribou, and marine life to arctic life. From the Centre you can head up the Lookout Trail onto the arctic highlands for an incredible view on the park and Tablelands. Excellent photo op. 

Day 19 Oct 1 DEER LAKE – CLARENVILLE NF B D. Visit Gander’s airport, one of the largest runways in Canada which received worldwide attention for the role it played in safely grounding 38 wide-body planes during 9/11. Then to Silent Witness Memorial, a tranquil park dedicated to the 256 individuals who lost their lives in 1985 in the Arrow Air crash. Stop at Terra Nova Interpretive Center. An impressive, informative place with a touch tank and some aquaria with local aquatic creatures. This evening is your FAREWELL Dinner and sampling a traditional Jigg’s meal, followed by a Screech-In Ceremony and you become an honorary Newfoundlander. ENJOY! 

Day 20 Oct 2 CLARENVILLE – ST JOHN’S NF B L. This morning you’ll see a collapsed sea cave with a natural archway carved by the sea at Dungeon Park. Go to the tip of Cape Bonavista and tour the 1843 lighthouse, followed by drive by sight of Mockbeggar Plantation, a fishery plantation site since the 1700s, a thriving operation that played a major role in the development of Bonavista. Stop in Port Union at the Coaker Factory for a delicious lunch and tour their Museum. 

Day 21 Oct 3 ST JOHN’S NF B. Meet your step on tour guide who will take you to St John’s historic sights. Cape Spear, Signal Hill, Quidi Vidi Village, war memorial and Jellybean row. Say good bye to your motor coach driver tonight, he’ll be heading back tomorrow morning and you will be flying home. 

Day 22 Oct 4 FLY HOME B.
