Day 1, Sept 16th, Wednesday. SASKATCHEWAN – WINNIPEG (lose 1 hour).  Join our tour from Prince Albert, Saskatoon, Regina, Moosomin, Brandon, Winnipeg and if time allows anywhere along the route.

Day 2, Sept 17th, Thursday. WINNIPEG – THUNDER BAY (lose 1 hour) (B).  Admire the 40-metre high Kakabeka Falls, the second highest waterfall in Ontario and has some of the oldest fossils in existence.

Day 3, Sept 18th, Friday. THUNDER BAY – SAULT SAINT MARIE (B).  Visit the Terry Fox Memorial and Lookout, it offers a panoramic view of Thunder Bay and Lake Superior. While in White River, find out where Winnie-the-Pooh originated.

Day 4, Sept 19th, Saturday. SAULT SAINT MARIE - TORONTO (B). Enjoy the view as you drive through some of the oldest French settlements in North America, along Lake Huron, with stops in Blind River, Sudbury - home of the Giant Nickel and Parry Sound.

DAY 5, Sept 20th, Sunday. TORONTO – KINGSTON (B). This morning tour with your All About Toronto guide. Later this afternoon is the “drive by” tour of Kingston sites, such as Fort Henry, Royal Military College, Bellevue House and the Kingston Penitentiary.

DAY 6, Sept 21st, Monday. KINGSTON – MONTREAL (B). This afternoon is a 4-hour Step on Guided tour of Montreal. Notre-Dame Basilica, Ste-Catherine Street, St-Helen Island, Mont-Royal, St Joseph’s Oratory, The Old Port, Place Jacques Cartier and more.

Day 7, Sept 22nd, Thursday. MONTREAL - QUEBEC CITY (B L). Enjoy a traditional French-Canadian meal with live folk music. Taste Maple Taffy on snow and see how Maple Syrup is made. Step on Guide shows you Plains of Abraham, Cape Diamond, Joan of Arc Garden, Grande Allee, Place d’ Armes, Old Quebec, Chateau Frontenac, Place Royal and more.

Day 8, Sept 23rd, Wednesday. QUEBEC CITY (B). FREE DAY FOR ALL. Sightsee on own OR rest, relax, recharge, your choice.

Day 9, Sept 24th, Thursday. QUEBEC - FREDERICTON (lose 1 hour) (B).  Visit the Wood Carver Museum before bidding farewell to Quebec. Cross into New Brunswick which lies entirely within the Appalachian Mountain range. This afternoon witness the Grand Falls spectacular gorge with breathtaking views. Followed by Hartland Bridge, the world’s longest covered bridge. Overnight in Fredericton.

Day 10, Sept 25th, Friday. FREDERICTON - CHARLOTTETOWN (B). Travel to Hopewell Rocks, the highest tides in the world. If the tide is right you will have the opportunity to walk on the sea floor. Head to “Lobster Capital of the World” for “photo op” at the giant lobster in Shediac. A late afternoon cruise on the bay and lobster meal (other choices offered). Overnight in Charlottetown.

Day 11, Sept 26th, Saturday. CHARLOTTETOWN (B). Target Tours guide takes you on a North Shore tour of PEI. Tour includes North Rustico Harbour, a fishing village, Anne of Green Gables house, the Bluffs, Stanley Bridge and Founder’s Hall. Tonight, is a top-notch performance of the touching, humorous, never-ending passion and imagination of Anne of Green Gables.

Day 12, Sept 27th, Sunday. CHARLOTTETOWN – NORTH SYDNEY (B).  Explore the history of our Canadian singer Anne Murray whose albums have sold over 55 million copies worldwide. Stop at the Westray Miners Memorial dedicated to the 26 miners who lost their lives in a mine explosion in 1992. Travel along the shores of Bras d’ Or Lake. Tour on own Alexander Graham Bell museum in Baddeck. Overnight North Sydney for the next two nights.

Day 13, Sept 28th, Monday. CABOT TRAIL (B L). A step on guide takes you along the Cabot Trail, a scenic roadway passing through Cape Breton Highlands National Park. You follow the rugged coastline providing spectacular views of the ocean. Enjoy your Mountain view lunch. Return to Sydney.

Day 14, Sept 29th, Tuesday. NORTH SYDNEY – PORT AUX BASQUES (lose ½ hr) (B).  Board the Marine Atlantic Ferry and sail to Newfoundland, one of the best-kept vacation secrets, nestled into the northeast corner of North America. The province offers a leisurely “Old World” pace and is one of the most romantic places in Canada.

Day 15, Sept 30th, Wednesday. PORT AUX BASQUES – ST ANTHONY (B L C). Lunch in Rocky Harbour. Walk through the Thrombolites in Flower Cove, one of only two places in the world where you can experience these gigantic phenomena. They are very rare fossils that are about 650 million years old. Your final stop and overnight is St Anthony, a town on the northern reaches of the Great Northern Peninsula of Newfoundland and Labrador.

Day 16, Oct 1st, Thursday. ST ANTHONY – DEER LAKE (B L C). Tour Norstead – a full living village and port of trade as it may have looked during the Viking era. See the Viking knar “Snorri” ship. Lunch is provided by a local café. Wander through the excavated 11th century remains of a Viking settlement in L’Anse aux Meadows. Stop in Hawke’s Bay, overnight in Deer Lake.

Day 17, Oct 2nd, Friday. DEER LAKE - ST JOHN’S (B). Travel across the island to St John’s, the capital and largest city of Newfoundland and Labrador. It is North America’s easternmost city, excluding Greenland. Along the way stop in Grand Falls-Windsor, Terra Nova interpretive center with film, exhibits and touch tanks. Continue to St John’s for 2 nights.

Day 18 Oct 3 Saturday. ST JOHN’S sightseeing, FREE DAY FOR OUR BUS & DRIVER (B). Meet rental bus & driver along with your step on guide for some historic sights of St John’s. This afternoon, enjoy the Rooms, dedicated to natural and cultural history with unparalleled views of the harbour city. Followed by the Geo Centre, cut from the ancient rock of Signal Hill, takes you deep underground to experience the story of planet Earth. This evening on your own stroll along George Street, known for many bars, pubs and entertainment.

Day 19, Oct 4th, Sunday. ST JOHN’S – CLARENVILLE (B L S). Lunch at Port Union Coaker Factory. See a collapsed sea cave with a natural archway carved by the sea at Dungeon Park. At the tip of Cape Bonavista tour the 1843 lighthouse, followed by drive-by sights of Mockbeggar Plantation and Matthew Legacy. Visit a few shops in Trinity before heading to Clarenville for overnight and your traditional Newfie Screech-In.

Day 20, Oct 5th, Monday. CLARENVILLE – PORT AUX BASQUES (B D). Drive to Gander to the Silent Witness Memorial, a tranquil park dedicated to the 256 individuals who lost their lives in 1985 in the Arrow Air Crash. The Memorial is a soldier holding hands with a boy and girl which are holding an olive branch indicative of the peacekeeping mission. The trio look to the future, surrounded by the hills and trees of the crash site. Gander also has one of the largest airport runways in Canada which received worldwide attention for the role it played in safely grounding 38 wide-body planes on 9/11. This afternoon, visit the Insectarium, award-winning, interactive museum of nature, features insects from around the world. This evening, experience a traditional Newfoundland “Jigg’s Dinner” before going to Port Aux Basques for overnight.

Day 21, Oct 6th, Tuesday. PORT AUX BASQUES - NORTH SYDNEY (gain ½ hr) (B). Board the Marine Atlantic Ferry and sail back to the mainland. Overnight in North Sydney.

Day 22, Oct 7th, Wednesday. NORTH SYDNEY – HALIFAX (B). Tour Halifax Citadel’s star shaped architecture. Equally as impressive from the inside as out. Step back in time with the 78th Highlanders and the 3rd Brigade Royal Artillery to learn what it was like for the soldiers and their families to live and work in this historic fort. Pier 21 shares the ongoing story of immigration to Canada from coast to coast to coast, past and present. For some of us, our ancestors paved the way. Nearly one million immigrants landed in Canada from 1928 to 1971. Two nights stay in Halifax.

Day 23, Oct 8th, Thursday. HALIFAX sightseeing (B). Target Tours guide takes you on the Halifax & Peggy’s Cove tour for the day. Return to Halifax. Free evening.

Day 24, Oct 9th, Friday. HALIFAX – EDMUNDSTON (B). Travel to Moncton’s world-famous Magnetic Hill, witness the illusion of vehicles rolling up hill. Wander the Wharf Village with its unique shopping, delicious food and tasty treats. Tour King’s Landing, a living history village museum with original buildings from the period of 1820 – 1920 nestled in a majestic setting.

Day 25, Oct 10th, Saturday. EDMUNDSTON – OTTAWA (gain 1 hour) (B). Farewell to New Brunswick. Gain 1-hour crossing into Quebec.  Shop at a Premium outlet before arriving in Ottawa for two nights.

Day 26, Oct 11th, Sunday. OTTAWA sightseeing (B). This morning a guided tour of the Parliament Buildings, followed by a Step on Guides taking you to Rideau Canal, Prime Minister home, Rockcliffe District and ByWard Market. Later you will tour the Canadian Mint, a 1908 Castle-like headquarters with the world’s biggest coin and gold bars on display. Free evening.

Day 27, Oct 12th, Monday. OTTAWA – NIAGARA FALLS (B). Mid-afternoon a narrated Harbour Cruise of Toronto. This evening drive around Niagara Falls before settling in for 2 nights.

Day 28, Oct 13th, Tuesday. NIAGARA FALLS sightseeing, FREE DAY FOR OUR BUS & DRIVER (B D). Double Decker bus, driver and guide will pick you up at the hotel, stop at three major Niagara attractions. The “Whirlpool Aero Car”, you are transported by cable car above Niagara River, offering a wonderful view of Niagara Whirlpool, where the river escapes through the narrowest channel in the gorge. “Journey Behind the Falls”, a unique view of the Falls from below and behind, by access to outdoor observation decks and portals. “Horn-blower Boat Cruise”, takes you close to the breathtaking flow of water, power and mist. Tonight is a Windup Banquet with a view of the city around you.

Day 29, Oct 14th, Wednesday. NIAGARA FALLS – SAULT SAINT MARIE (B). Stops in Barrie, Parry Sound and Espanola.

Day 30, Oct 15th, Thursday. SAULT SAINT MARIE – THUNDER BAY (B). Travel along Lake Superior and Wawa.

Day 31, Oct 16th, Friday. THUNDER BAY – WINNIPEG (gain 1 hour) (B). Stop at Upsala, Dryden and Kenora.

Day 32, Oct 17th, Saturday. WINNIPEG – HOME (gain 1 hour) (B). Homeward bound, cherishing all your wonderful memories.
