ITINERARY

Day 1 May 2 Fri – PRINCE ALBERT SK – MEDICINE HAT AB. Join us anywhere along the route today. Prince Albert – BW+ Marquis Inn, Saskatoon – McDonald’s at Circle Park Mall, Regina – Food Court Doors south side at Southland mall, Swift Current (exact spot pending), Medicine Hat – BW Premiere for overnight. 

Day 2 May 3 Sat – MEDICINE HAT – KAMLOOPS BC. Today you will enter BC. You will stop in Canmore, pass Banff, lunch stop in Golden and see the Kicking Horse Bridge, continue through Revelstoke and pass by Craigellachie the place where “The Last Spike” was put. Stop at Sicamous for an ice cream treat. Onto Kamloops to Hampton Inn for overnight. 

Day 3 May 4 Sun – KAMLOOPS BC – VANCOUVER area BC. Travelling along the Coquihalla Hwy today with stops in Merritt in the Nicola Valley and in Hope that is at the confluence of the Fraser and Coquihalla rivers. Hope is also at the eastern end of both the Fraser Valley and the Lower Mainland region and the southern end of the Fraser Canyon. the next 2 nights are at the Atrium Hotel in Vancouver.

Day 4 May 5 Mon – VANCOUVER SIGHTSEEING. Today you will meet your step on guide who will take you to some highlights of Vancouver. Jeff is a great guide and will squeeze as much of Vancouver as he can during the tour. Return back to your hotel for overnight. 

Day 5 May 6 Tue – VANCOUVER – VICTORIA. This morning you will board the Ferry at Tsawwassen terminal to Swartz Bay terminal. Take a drive to the Glass Beach in Sidney before heading to Victoria. Grab some lunch at the many options before meeting your guide for the afternoon. Lorraine is very knowledgeable and will show you many sights in the Victoria area. The next 2 nights will be at the Victoria Chateau Hotel with each morning starting with a rooftop breakfast (sure hope the sun is shining). 

Day 6 May 7 Wed – VICTORIA SIGHTSEEING. You will be spending time on own at the Indoor tropical rainforest with wildlife at the Butterfly Gardens and of course at the Butchart Gardens, with its large botanical garden and themed areas. There will be spare time today to go on your own around Victoria. 

Day 7 May 8 Thur – FREE DAY (bus & driver do not move). You can rest, relax, recoup, visit relatives, Tour the Legislative Assembly of BC, the Royal BC Museum of natural history, Maritime Museum, Miniature World with tiny displays of fantasy and history, Victoria Bug Zoo a venue devoted to many-legged creatures, take a water taxi ride or take a walk around the harbour. 

Day 8 May 9 Fri – VICTORIA BC – SEATTLE WA (have your passports ready). You will hang around and have coffee by the Black Ball Ferry Terminal while the motor coach and driver get processed. You will go through customs check prior to boarding the ferry. You must board onto and off the ferry by foot in Victoria and Port Angeles. One hour and 35minutes later you should arrive in Port Angeles where there will be another quick check before leaving the ferry and boarding the motor coach. Enjoy lunch on own in Port Angeles. After lunch you will visit a herb & lavender farm and gift shop. Continue your way to Seattle with another ferry ride at Bainsbridge. It is a 35-minute ride and then you are in Seattle downtown, head for your hotel for the next 2 nights at the Hyatt House Seattle. 

Day 9 May 10 Sat – SEATTLE SIGHTS AND MARINERS vs BLUE JAY GAME. This morning you will visit Chihuly Garden and Glass. The Garden offers a rich tapestry of colorful trees, plants and flowers. The Glass House features an expansive, 100–foot long sculpture with vibrant palette of red, yellow and orange. Right next to the Garden and Glass is the Space Needle. Seattle’s most iconic landmark. The world’s first and only revolving glass floor. Tilting glass walls and Sky riser glass benches on the open-air deck. Views of towering skyscrapers, snow-capped mountains and sparking waters on two viewing levels – indoor and outdoors. Then it is off to find some lunch before going to the ball game between Seattle and Toronto. 

Day 10 May 11 Sun – SEATTLE – SPOKANE WA (Happy Mother’s Day). Taking the central Route to Spokane will take you past Snoqualmie, as you make your way to the adorable small town of Roslyn. If you watched Northern Exposure in the 90s you may recognise the mural as the setting of the show. Roslyn played an Alaskan town named Cicely. Travel through the historic town of Ellensburg and a very remote part of Washington State. Visit the Ginkgo petrified forest, lookout point and Native American Petroglyphs. Cross the Vantage Bridge and check out Wild Horse Monument and scenic lookout. Then onto Spokane Holiday inn Express for overnight. 

Day 11 May 12 Mon – SPOKANE WA – HELENA MT. Stop in Coeur d’Alene, a picturesque city, check out McEuen park with its grassy lawn and trailhead for Tubbs Hill (waterfall). St Regis Travel Center is a must stop for souvenirs and maybe Huckleberry milkshakes are supposed to be amazing. Missoula has a restored 1877 Fort and a contemporary art museum, but the thing to see is the Carousel for Missoula. It is unique and a magical experience on the edge of Clark Fork River with hand-carved horses and dragons that appeals to all ages. You will drive past areas that are farther off the road and some on old dirt roads such as the Ghost Town of Garnet. Once a gold-mining town from the 1890’s, a candy emporium in Philipsburg, living history museum with cattle and draft horses and an old prison near Deer Lodge. Once you get to Helena be sure to check out Reeder’s Alley, offers a pleasant stroll on cobble stone built in the 1870’s to house local miners. Drive past the Cathedral of Saint Helena, the gorgeous Catholic church built in 1914 with the twin spires. Drive by Montana’s State Capitol and past the original Governor’s Mansion – Queen Anne Style built in 1888. Overnight in the Helena at the Hampton Inn.

Day 12 May 13 Tue HELENA – BORDER – MEDICINE HAT AB. Leaving Helena, stopping for coffee, shopping and early lunch in Great Falls. Couple of hours to the border for coffee stop at the duty free then couple of hours to Medicine Hat for overnight.  

Day 13 May 14 Wed MEDICINE HAT AB – PRINCE ALBERT SK. Bid farewell to your newfound friends and fellow passengers as they depart along the route of Swift Current, Regina, Saskatoon and Prince Albert. Remember the adventure and sights you had along the way.
